Jerusalem, 27 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz on Thursday afternoon released a joint statement saying, “There is no directive whatsoever to open the Erez Crossing for goods.”
“Israel’s policy in Gaza is clear and has not changed: There will be no rebuilding before the disarmament of the Hamas terrorist organization and the complete demilitarization of the Gaza Strip,” the two leaders said.
