Jerusalem, 1 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The transition to digital and data-driven operations is transforming how local authorities manage information, track budgets, maximize resources, and advance economic development initiatives.
As part of the “Muared” project, digitization is being integrated across multiple levels for directors of economic development and resource-maximization units in Israeli-Arab local authorities, ranging from onboarding and professional knowledge acquisition to resource management, monitoring and control tools, and training in artificial intelligence tools.
The integration aims to support unit directors’ roles as change agents and integrative leaders within their local authorities. Directors are required to navigate numerous cross-departmental interfaces connecting municipal leadership, the treasurer’s office, and specialized departments, while aggregating data from diverse sources, tracking implementation processes, and converting raw data into actionable insights for decision-making and execution.
