MK Gotliv to Shin Bet Chief: Be Brave Enough to Resign
MK Tally Gotliv called for Shin Bet chief David Zini to resign, accusing him of silence on Arab terrorism in Judea and Samaria following a Security Cabinet.
Jerusalem, 5 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — MK Tally Gotliv called on Shin Bet chief David Zini to resign Monday, accusing him of failing to condemn Arab terrorism in Judea and Samaria.
Her remarks followed a heated Security Cabinet confrontation between Zini and Settlement Affairs Minister Orit Strock over violence in Judea and Samaria. Strock accused security officials of presenting Palestinians as harmless while overlooking attacks on Jewish residents and shepherds.
Zini responded that Palestinians were not burning Jewish homes and told Strock she was “disconnected,” while calling for condemnation of Jewish violence.
Gotliv subsequently criticized Zini in a post on X, saying his silence regarding Arab terrorism and attacks against settlers and soldiers was “deafening.” She urged him to “be brave enough and resign,” inferring that Zini is under pressure to comply with mainstream media because his brother, Bezalel, is in trouble with the law.
