Jerusalem, 3 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Agriculture and Finance ministries announced a new plan to open the sheep-milk market to competition, abolishing cheese tariffs. The move is expected to save consumers NIS 60 million ($19.8 million) annually, while farmers will receive NIS 100 million ($33.1 million) in direct support through 2030.
