Jerusalem, 21 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Addressing an officers’ graduation ceremony, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a direct warning to Tehran and its regional proxies, cautioning against any attempts to conduct terror operations aimed at disrupting Israel’s upcoming general election.
Katz declared that while the Iranian regime is at its weakest point historically, its desperation could prompt extreme measures against the State of Israel. Asserting that defense forces are fully prepared to preempt and neutralize any threat, the Defense Minister warned that any Iranian strike would meet a devastating response, stating, “If Iran attacks Israel, Iran will burn.”
Katz added that Hezbollah would face severe retaliation and total destruction of its operational infrastructure should it participate in coordinated aggression.
