Election Day Without Elector App: Likud to Send Thousands of Activists Door-to-Door
Likud will deploy thousands of activists door-to-door and utilize phone banks to boost voter turnout after Israel's High Court banned the Elector app.
Jerusalem, 28 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Likud announced on Monday that its field operation had established more than 70 headquarters across Israel and mapped polling stations where turnout had fallen in previous elections.
On September 17, Israel’s High Court of Justice issued a final ruling barring political parties from receiving real-time information from polling stations via the Elector app about voters who had not cast their ballots. By barring the app, the court harmed the get-out-the-vote efforts of the more established parties, favoring new parties that lack extensive databases.
Thousands of activists are expected to go door-to-door on Election Day to encourage voters to reach polling stations. Likud will also operate phone banks and other systems to obtain real-time information within the limits imposed on the Elector app.
The party estimates that increasing Turnout in Netanya could be equivalent to roughly half a Knesset seat, while the potential in Jerusalem is a full seat.
