TPS: Likud Petitions to Election Committee Over Plan to Fly Voters to Israel
Likud has petitioned the Central Elections Committee, accusing the "AID Coalition" of illegally influencing Israeli voters abroad with incentives.
Jerusalem, 16 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Likud filed an urgent petition with the Central Elections Committee chairman on Wednesday against the “AID Coalition” organization and related parties, following a >”>Channel 14 investigation into a network helping Israelis abroad return to vote.
The petition alleges AID Coalition supported, through a nonprofit, an initiative aimed at shifting Likud voters toward opposition parties, and calls for halting the funding, organizing, and assistance in bringing voters to Israel, including gift-card incentives.
Likud also demands disclosure of the funding sources, financial scope, participating bodies, and digital campaign targeting, and wants clarity on whether the organization is subject to legal reporting and transparency requirements.
The petition argues gift cards worth up to $750 per person could link the incentive directly to voting behavior.
The AID Coalition said its activity is non-political and that “The Israeli Camp,” implicated in the investigation, operates independently of it.
