Jerusalem, 16 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Binyamin Regional Council warned on Friday that far-left activists plan to provoke confrontations near Jewish farms and outposts during the olive harvest.

According to information received by the council, activist groups intend to arrive at several friction points in the region, potentially drawing residents and security forces into clashes to generate footage for campaigns alleging “settler violence.”

The warning comes amid a sharp rise in reported incidents near farms. Council figures show approximately 48 incidents last week, more than double the 23 recorded in the week before the harvest began.

Binyamin Regional Council head and Yesha Council chairman Israel Ganz urged security forces to prepare for potential confrontations and protect farmers, shepherds, and residents.

“We are warning you before the next confrontation. Don’t wait for the footage,” Ganz said, accusing anti-Israel organizations of using isolated incidents to portray the entire settlement movement negatively.
