Jerusalem, 28 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Southern Lebanon — Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops from Brigade Combat Team 55, operating under the 91st Division, have completed a targeted brigade-level operation in the Al-Mansouri area to neutralize Hezbollah threats and prevent its re-establishment.
During the mission within the Security Zone, Israeli Forces destroyed over 600 terror infrastructure targets and partnered with combat engineering specialists from the Yahalom unit to demolish eight underground tunnel routes, including one embedded beneath a civilian home. Soldiers also recovered dozens of rocket launchers abandoned before the ceasefire took effect.
Military officials affirmed that while the IDF remains fully committed to the ceasefire agreement, forces will continue proactive operations to eliminate immediate security threats.
