Jerusalem, 7 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli military said it killed two terrorists in separate strikes in the Gaza Strip, saying they were planting explosives against Israeli troops in violation of the ongoing ceasefire with Hamas.

According to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), a strike on Sunday in Gaza City’s Al-Shati area killed Islamic Jihad terrorist Sabhi Hadr Al-Atham Al-Batrihi. A separate strike last week killed Ahmad Fuad Khalil Khalas, identified as a member of Hamas’s Nukhba unit.

The military said both men had been involved in planning attacks against Israeli forces and civilians, and that precautions, including precision munitions and aerial surveillance, were taken to limit civilian harm.

IDF troops remain deployed in Gaza under the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
