Jerusalem, 25 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security forces have deployed heavy reinforcements to secure the annual olive harvest across Judea and Samaria, protecting Palestinian agricultural sites against potential security disruptions.
According to military assessments, farmers have harvested approximately 220 million square meters (54,360 acres) across 100 coordinated sites under Central Command and Border Police protection.
The yield reached 22,500 tons of olives, producing 5,500 liters of olive oil valued at NIS 225 million ($60 million).
Command officials emphasized that high-profile friction incidents represent only a minor fraction of overall harvesting areas, with the vast majority of operations proceeding without incident.
Dedicated units, including the 98th Division and Paratroopers task forces, remain positioned throughout the sector to deter terrorism and maintain public safety.
