Petah Tikva Volunteers Pack 1,200 Holiday Food Packages in Memory of Fallen Soldier
Petah Tikva volunteers packed 1,200 holiday food packages in memory of Sgt. Idan Fox, a local soldier killed in Lebanon.
Jerusalem, 9 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Petah Tikva Community Safety Authority hosted its annual charity packing event, with dozens of youth volunteers preparing approximately 1,200 food packages for holiday distribution to families in need, delivered discreetly to protect recipients’ privacy.
This year’s operation was dedicated to the memory of Sgt. Idan Fox, a Petah Tikva native killed in Lebanon roughly four months ago. The local youth patrol was renamed in his honor after organizers said his values aligned closely with the group’s mission.
His mother, Meital, had asked the public to “do one small good deed a day” in his memory, a message organizers said inspired this year’s initiative.
