The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, visited the Northern Command and Division 91 today, accompanied by the Commander of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, the Commander of the Ground Forces, Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan, the Commander of Division 91, Brig. Gen. Yuval Gaz, and additional commanders.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff held a situation assessment at Division 91, toured the Al-Khiyam area, observed the ‘Robotic Combat Team‘ model presented by the forces, and held a discussion with the brigade commanders in the division’s sector.

The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, stated: “Division 91 is the front of defense for the residents of the North – the division promotes a forward defense concept on the front of the communities. The reality is constantly changing and evolving, but our commitment is to establish a strong defense on the borders and maintain the security of the residents of the North.”

“We will not allow Hezbollah to establish terror infrastructure in the area. Any attempt by the enemy to establish itself, strengthen, or threaten the communities of the North will be met immediately and powerfully.”

“During the war, Hezbollah has once again proven that it is an Iranian proxy and that it is not a ‘Lebanese patriot.’ Its actions have harmed the interests of the State of Lebanon and its citizens. The IDF is alert to developments in nearby and distant arenas and is prepared to strike the enemy that tries to harm us, as we have done in the past.”

“Brigade 769 and Reconnaissance Battalion 869 – you have presented for the first time the ‘Robotic Combat Team’ model. The model reinforces the principle that the IDF is ahead of the civilians and the innovative concept that robotic and technological means are ahead of and alongside the forces. In doing so, you are increasing operational effectiveness and strengthening the defense of our forces.”

“Great appreciation for this. This is a significant leap forward, and I am impressed by the close connection between the Northern Command and the Ground Forces. I instruct to continue accelerating the processes for integrating robotic capabilities into the fighting forces, with the goal of creating operational advantage and superiority on the battlefield.”

“For three years of fighting, the Northern Command has been fighting, hitting Hezbollah, and depriving it of many capabilities. If we are required to do so, we will know how to deepen our achievements. Much appreciation to Division 91 and the forces operating in the area. The achievements you have led are a source of immense pride and will be etched in the IDF’s heritage for generations.”
