Jerusalem, 30 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Two Israeli minors, aged 14 and 16, were indicted on charges of Spying for Iran, Israel Police announced Sunday.

The teenagers were recruited via Telegram in June for paid missions and continued working for an Iranian agent after learning of his ties to Iran. They photographed locations and security arrangements at malls in Tel Aviv and Herzliya, sprayed graffiti in Kiryat Motzkin and sought to recruit others.

One also posed as a soldier in Unit 8200 an elite military intelligence unit, to obtain additional assignments and receive cryptocurrency payments.
