Jerusalem, 16 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Culture and Sport Minister Miki Zohar asked Shin Bet Director David Zini on Wednesday to urgently investigate the source of materials used by “NZA” filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, after he earlier asked the Interior Ministry to consider revoking their citizenship over the film’s content.

Zohar argued the filmmakers claim their work is based on testimony from Israeli military and intelligence sources whose anonymity prevents verification, and asked Shin Bet to determine whether the materials were distorted or taken out of context, whether sensitive security information was misused, and whether hostile actors, including Hamas or its proxies, played a role in transferring the information.

IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir separately called the film an attempt to “blacken” soldiers’ image through “lies and baseless manipulations,” insisting the IDF remains committed to international law and avoiding harm to innocents.
