Jerusalem, 2 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Five firefighting and rescue teams are operating at the scene of a brush fire along the banks of the Yarkon Stream, between the Ramat Gan Stadium and the Maccabiah Bridge, Magen David Adom reported.

The public has been asked to avoid the area of the sports fields, which are being evacuated, while onlookers are being cleared from the vicinity. Firefighting forces are working to gain control of the blaze despite access difficulties, with significant additional forces dispatched to the scene.

Israel Railways suspended train service in the area due to the fire near the tracks in the Bnei Brak region, causing delays and schedule adjustments at surrounding stations, including the Sharon Ring stations. Regular service is expected to resume once approved by fire and rescue authorities.
