Gasoline Prices to Drop Half a Shekel Starting Monday

Jerusalem, 6 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Fuel Authority announced that gasoline prices will change at midnight Sunday-Monday (September 6-7), following an update to the excise tax on fuel.

The maximum consumer price for a liter of 95-octane unleaded gasoline at self-service pumps, including VAT, will not exceed 7.75 Shekels ($2.28), a decrease of one-half Shekel from the previous update. The full-service surcharge remains unchanged at 0.26 Shekel per liter.
