Slight Rise in Total Percentage of Israelis in the Workforce in July

Jerusalem, 27 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data from the “Labor Force Survey” for July 2026.

July 2026 (compared to June 2026, among those aged 15 and over):

Percentage of the labor force – 62.2% (62% in June).

Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 60.3% (60.2% in June).

Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 3.1% (2.9% in June).

Percentage of people aged 25-64 in the labor force – 81.3% (81% in June).

Employment rate among those aged 25-64 – 78.9% (78.8% in June).

The percentage of unemployed people in the labor force among those aged 25-64 – 2.9% (2.8% in June).

The percentage of employed people who generally work full-time, out of all employed people – 77.4% (78.3% in June).
