Cambodia Opens Market to Israeli Citrus Exports, Potential Reaches 10,000 Tons
Israel's citrus exports are now cleared for Cambodia, with an estimated 10,000 tons of oranges, clementines, and more potentially shipping next season.
Jerusalem, 30 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry’s Plant Protection and Inspection Services completed the process to open the Cambodian market to Israeli citrus exports, allowing exporters to begin shipments as early as the upcoming season. The Citrus Growers Association estimates export potential at approximately 10,000 tons annually, covering oranges, clementines, lemons, pomelos and grapefruits.
The move is part of a broader ministry initiative to expand export opportunities for Israeli farmers. As part of a 2025-2026 support program, the ministry assists farmers’ organizations in promoting produce abroad, helping exporters reach international exhibitions and establish ties with buyers, including this year’s participation in the Asia Fruit Logistica exhibition alongside the Export Institute.
The ministry is also advancing market access in Japan for additional produce, including watermelons, melons and squashes.
