Government Launches 170 Million Shekel Support Track for Northern Farmers
Israel's Agriculture Ministry and Tnufa Directorate launched a 170 million shekel support track for northern farmers to renew farms and invest in.
Jerusalem, 25 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Agriculture and Food Security Ministry and the Tnufa Directorate for the North launched a new support track designed to help farmers in the northern conflict region expand and renew their farms and invest in infrastructure and advanced technologies, as part of the government’s multi-year plan for the North’s rehabilitation.
The track carries a budget of 170 million shekels ($50 million) — 100 million shekels in 2026 and 70 million shekels in 2027 — covering greenhouses, animal buildings, packing houses, plantings, mechanization, and water infrastructure.
Grant rates will reach 50% of approved investment in most areas, 60% for advanced mechanization, and up to 80% for water infrastructure. Machinery bearing the Economy Ministry’s “Blue and White” label will receive an additional 15%. Approved investment amounts will be based on farm revenue, up to 3 million shekels ($882,000) per farmer.
