Jerusalem, 14 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Elbit Systems Sweden will establish a European production center for laser warning systems, expanding its manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand for advanced military protection technologies. The facility will strengthen the company’s European industrial presence and support customers seeking improved protection for military platforms against laser-guided threats.

Laser warning systems detect laser illumination, alerting crews when their vehicles or other platforms are being targeted or tracked by laser-based equipment. The warnings allow personnel to respond quickly to potential threats, improving situational awareness and survivability on the battlefield.

The center is expected to become operational in 2027 and will be Elbit Systems’ first European facility dedicated to producing and maintaining these systems. The initiative will support local integration, assembly, maintenance, and long-term service for European customers.

Elbit Systems Sweden employs more than 100 people and serves as the company’s regional hub for Northern Europe.
