Jerusalem, 26 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Police detectives from the Hebron Station in the Judea region, alongside soldiers from the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) Judea Regional Brigade, conducted a search operation in Hebron, aided by special means that indicated a fleeing vehicle. A thorough search of the area turned up a shotgun and ammunition, seized by forces.
Two suspects, residents of Hebron aged 23 and 50, were arrested for questioning. Handcuffs and a cellphone belonging to one of the suspects were also seized.
Separately, police and IDF forces operated in the nearby town of Yatta, searching for stolen vehicles based on preliminary intelligence. Three vehicles located during the operation were confirmed stolen. A 23-year-old resident of Yatta and a 24-year-old resident of Bani Naim were arrested and taken for questioning at the Hebron Station.
