Manhunt Underway After Armed Suspects Flee, Injure Police Officers on Samaria Highway
Police and IDF are searching for armed suspects who injured officers and fled a pursuit on Samaria Highway near Adam Junction in the Binyamin region.
Jerusalem, 31 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Police and the (Israel Defense Forces) are searching for armed suspects who fled during operational activity near the Adam Junction in the Binyamin region before dawn Wednesday, after security forces spotted two armed suspects beside a parked vehicle.
The suspects fled by vehicle upon noticing the forces, prompting a pursuit along Route 60, that runs north-south through Judea and Samaria. During the chase, the suspects struck the police cruiser, causing a collision that left the officer and soldier with light injuries; both were evacuated for medical treatment.
Forces fired at the vehicle’s tires, but the suspects continued fleeing toward the village of al-Ram, north of Jerusalem. Binyamin Brigade forces placed a blockade on the village and are searching for the suspects in Area B, while route searches continue.
