Jerusalem, 31 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar on Monday accused Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez of “lying shamelessly,” saying Sanchez’s allegations were intended to distract from his government’s domestic failures.
Sa’ar was responding to Sanchez’s earlier claim that Russian and Israeli social networks had spread “misinformation” about a rush of migrants to Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta last month.
“This is a brazen lie,” Sa’ar tweeted.
