Jerusalem, 24 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — TALMON — Israeli police opened an investigation following an arson incident involving burning tires set adjacent to an Israeli flag along a highway near the town of Talmon in Samaria, near Ramallah.
Following intelligence operations, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) personnel apprehended a suspect in his 30s during an early morning raid at his residence in the nearby Palestinian village of Beitillu. Security officials transferred the individual to the Samaria District Crime Fighting Unit for police interrogation, after which he was remanded into custody.
Authorities emphasized that counter-terrorism and law enforcement units maintain heightened vigil across Judea and Samaria to deter acts of arson and maintain regional public safety.
