Jerusalem, 15 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Monday night, the Israeli police arrested 24 suspects in Eastern Jerusalem and throughout Judea and Samaria following a six-month covert operation in which an undercover agent, code-named “Tequila,” infiltrated criminal networks trafficking weapons, drugs, and counterfeit currency.
According to police, the agent gained the trust of suspects and purchased weapons, large quantities of ecstasy-type drugs, and counterfeit bills intended for distribution, particularly in the Jerusalem area.
Large police forces raided the suspects’ homes overnight following a coordinated operational plan, arresting all 24 individuals for questioning as the investigation continues.
