Jerusalem, 14 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Illegal structures erected across ten sites in open areas north of Kafr Kanna, an Arab town in the Galilee, and near the Beit Rimon Junction, were demolished by their owners Monday, following enforcement action by the Land Enforcement Authority.

The Land Enforcement Authority said: “The issuance of administrative orders in the open areas of Kafr Kanna led to the self-demolition of the structures and the clearing of the land. This is another example of effective enforcement that resulted in the violation being halted and the situation being restored to its original state.”

Under current policy, Israeli enforcement teams have intensified their crackdowns on illegal buildings. Officials encourage property owners to demolish the structures themselves to avoid the exorbitant fines and heavy fees charged by the government if state bulldozers are deployed to carry out the destruction.
