Jerusalem, 25 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Three airlines are expanding services to and from Israel, offering travelers more options as international carriers gradually return to the market.

British Airways is expected to resume flights between Tel Aviv and London today, following an approximately eight-month suspension. El Al is also restoring its nonstop route between Tel Aviv and San Francisco after more than six years.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways announced it will increase seat capacity on departing flights from Israel by approximately 11%, effective November 9.

The developments mark another step toward restoring competition in Israel’s aviation market, where local carriers have benefited from reduced foreign airline participation.

For travelers, additional flights could mean greater choice, more convenient direct connections and potential downward pressure on fares. However, the actual effect on ticket prices will depend on demand, available seats and the scale of each airline’s operations.
