The police located a driver suspected of involvement in a hit-and-run accident in Kiryat Gat – on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. During the weekend, a report was received by the police regarding a “hit-and-run” accident in the city.

Upon receiving the report, officers from the Kiryat Gat station opened an investigation and carried out a variety of investigative and operational activities to locate the vehicle and the driver suspected of involvement in the accident. After several hours of intensive activity, the officers succeeded in locating the involved vehicle and the suspected driver, a resident of Kiryat Gat. Upon locating him, it was suspected that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested by traffic examiners and transferred for further investigation at the police station, in accordance with the findings and evidence collected.
