Jerusalem, 29 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli defense venture capital firm Protego Ventures has closed its first fund at $125 million to invest in early-growth Israeli defense companies, the firm said. The fund focuses on technologies including autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, sensors and navigation that have been tested in operational environments.
Protego’s first portfolio company, Israeli autonomous robotics developer XTEND, recently went public on the New York Stock Exchange at a $1.5 billion valuation. Other portfolio companies include Israeli firms ASIO, Prisma Photonics and Rilian. ASIO’s technology has been integrated with systems developed by U.S. defense company Anduril.
Protego said it plans to launch a second fund expanding its investments into early-growth U.S. defense companies.
