Jerusalem, 8 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli-founded business software company HoneyBook is laying off about 35 employees, most of them in Israel, in a restructuring the company says is designed to adapt its organization and processes to the AI era. The cuts represent roughly 14% of HoneyBook’s current 255-person workforce.

People familiar with the layoffs said one benefit offered to departing employees will be an extension of the exercise period for their stock options, allowing them more time to purchase shares rather than having to do so within the customary 90-day period.

Founded in 2013 by CEO Omer Alon, his wife Naama, and CTO Dror Shimoni, HoneyBook develops business-management software for independent service providers in the United States, Canada, Britain and Australia. The company has raised about $500 million, including major 2021 funding rounds that valued it at $2 billion. Investors include Aleph, Norwest, Hillsven and Tiger Global.
