Jerusalem, 8 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — KIRYAT YAM, Israel — Israel Police detectives raided a hideout apartment and business in Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Bialik, seizing over 1 million shekels ($270,000 USD) in suspected stolen gold and jewelry, law enforcement confirmed Thursday.

The operation, led by Zevulun Station officers targeting money laundering and stolen property rings, also netted hundreds of thousands of shekels in cash across Israeli, US, and European currencies, alongside financial checks and communications equipment.

A female resident of Kiryat Yam was arrested on site and formally remanded in custody following initial questioning. Investigations remain ongoing to trace the origins of the recovered valuables and identify associated criminal networks.
