Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s operation to bring citizens home from Dubai is expected to conclude Thursday, the Transportation Ministry says, after more than 7,400 passengers were repatriated on special and commercial flights.
A total of 7,415 Israelis have returned from Dubai on flights operated by Israeli carriers and from Abu Dhabi on commercial Etihad Airways flights, according to the ministry.
The repatriation effort began after a Flydubai Flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was hijacked by its Omani co-pilot. The airline’s flights to Israel have been suspended since.
