Jerusalem, 20 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF has completed its operational preparations Ahead of Yom Kippur, with forces deployed across multiple fronts and plans in place to respond rapidly to any security escalation.
The military has prepared for a range of scenarios during the holiday, including the possibility of attacks along Israel’s borders. Commanders have emphasized maintaining a high level of readiness while ensuring forces can quickly transition from defensive operations to offensive action when required.
The preparations include reinforced deployments, heightened intelligence and surveillance, and coordination among ground, air, and other military units.
The IDF is also maintaining contingency plans for simultaneous developments on more than one front. Military officials stressed that forces remain prepared to act immediately against emerging threats while continuing routine defensive missions.
