Jerusalem, 20 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Tuesday night, undercover Border Police officers in the Judea and Samaria District operated under Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service) guidance to arrest a wanted individual in the Qalqilya area, suspected of terrorist activity and affiliation with the Tanzim terrorist organization.
The undercover force arrived covertly at a café in Qalqilya where the wanted individual was located, identified and found him, raided the site, and arrested the wanted suspect.
Upon executing the arrest, violent disturbances began to develop at the scene toward the security forces. However, there were no injuries to Israeli security forces.
The Tanzim (Arabic for “the Organization”) is a terrorist group affiliated with Yasser Arafat’s Fatah party.
