Jerusalem, 31 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that overnight, in a special operational activity directed by precise Shin Bet intelligence, operators from Yamam, Israel’s national counter-terrorism unit, operated in Shechem (Nablus) within the Samaria Brigade sector to arrest a wanted terror suspect.
The suspect, 37, had been wanted since his past involvement with the “Lions’ Den” terror organization in Shechem, which security forces neutralized in 2022. Over the years since, the suspect worked to promote terror activities and attempted attacks against Israeli citizens.
Upon receiving the intelligence guidance, Yamam operators prepared for the arrest, surprising the suspect by arriving at his home covertly and apprehending him.
The suspect was transferred for further interrogation by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). There were no casualties among Israeli forces.
