TPS: Samaria Vehicle Attack: One Terrorist Eliminated, Another Arrested
IDF soldiers thwarted a vehicular terror attack at Samaria's Gan Junction, killing one assailant and arresting another. No Israeli soldiers were harmed.
Jerusalem, 20 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A suspected vehicular terror attack was thwarted Sunday at the Gan Junction checkpoint in Samaria, after a vehicle attempted to run over two IDF soldiers stationed at the site.
The soldiers responded with gunfire, killing one of the terrorists inside the vehicle and arresting another, according to initial reports. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.
Following the attack, security forces launched a “hot iron” operation in the area to investigate the circumstances and search for any additional threats.
The IDF confirmed that its forces eliminated a terrorist who attempted to carry out a vehicular attack against soldiers operating in the Gan area, part of the Menashe Brigade. The military confirmed that there were no injuries among its forces.
The incident comes amid continued counterterrorism operations across Judea and Samaria.
