Israeli Man Indicted for Allegedly Planning to Join ISIS

Jerusalem, 2 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli man was indicted Wednesday for allegedly identifying with the Islamic State (ISIS), studying the terrorist organization’s training materials and preparing to travel abroad to join it.

Khamis Su’ad, in his 30s, a resident of Husniyya in northern Israel, was arrested in recent weeks, according to the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Israel Police.

His interrogation allegedly revealed that he had watched ISIS training materials covering combat, weapons use and the manufacture of missiles and drones for terrorist purposes, the Shin Bet and police said.

The indictment was filed in the Haifa Magistrate’s Court.
