Former hostage Liri Albag expressed joy and satisfaction after Israeli forces killed Hamas terrorist Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Ghabain, who held her captive in.
Jerusalem, 27 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Former hostage Liri Albag reacted sharply after Israeli forces killed Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Ghabain, a Hamas terrorist who had held her and fellow hostage Agam Berger captive in Gaza for nearly a year.
“When news like this comes, you can’t hide the smile. What an unbelievable closing of the circle!” Albag wrote on Instagram. “the terrorist who held Agam and me for almost a year has been eliminated.”
Albag said she could speak for hours about the suffering Ghabain inflicted on the two women, but chose not to give him more attention. Instead, she wrote: “Rot in hell, you scumbag. How great that you’re no longer here.”
The IDF and Shin Bet said Ghabain had served as a Hamas military commander and recently promoted terrorist plots against Israeli troops and civilians while helping rebuild Hamas capabilities in Northern Gaza.
