Jerusalem, 6 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the security establishment to work to evacuate unauthorized outposts established in Area B of Judea and Samaria, following heavy pressure from the U.S. administration, Israeli media reported Sunday morning.
There are currently about 100 unauthorized outposts across Judea and Samaria. Of these, an estimated 15 to 20 were established in Areas A and B, where the Palestinian Authority maintains civilian control.
Sources familiar with the matter said the National Security Council has issued clear instructions to evacuate these outposts, with particular emphasis on those in Area B. Security officials said pressure from Washington is causing Netanyahu’s greatest concern.
Against this sensitive diplomatic backdrop, Netanyahu has also instructed government ministers to refrain from publicly criticizing IDF commanders and to give them their full backing.
