Israel's Joint List slammed Ra'am's Mansour Abbas for adding Zionist Yoav Segalovich to his party's list, calling it a betrayal of his own people.

Jerusalem, 1 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Joint List, a political alliance of Arab-majority political parties in Israel, on Tuesday slammed Ra’am Chairman Mansour Abbas for adding former police official and Yesh Atid Knesset Member Yoav Segalovich to the number two slot on his list.

“True partnership must be a partnership of equals. Abbas chose a partner who takes pride in his Zionism over a partnership with his own people,” the Joint List responded to the move, adding, “We support the broadest possible Arab-Jewish partnership in the struggle. But a true partnership must be one between equals, based on opposition to the occupation, racism, and supremacy.”

The Joint List includes a Jewish MK named Ofer Cassif in its ranks. In the past, it featured another Jew, Dov Khenin.
