New Community Makkedah Established in Har Hevron Regional Council

Jerusalem, 31 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A new Israeli community named “Makkedah” was established Thursday near Adora in the Har Hevron area, in a ceremony attended by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Minister of Settlements and National Missions Orit Strook, both of the Religious Zionist Party, along with Har Hevron Regional Council head Eliram Azulai.
During the ceremony, the community’s founding families moved onto the land, marking the establishment of the new community in the Hebron area.
