Jerusalem, 31 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The political bureau of the Ra’am party on Monday approved former MK Yoav Segalovich joining the party’s electoral slate and placed him in the No. 2 spot, behind party chairman MK Mansour Abbas.
Segalovich, 67, headed the Israel Police Investigations and Intelligence Division. He was elected to the Knesset on the Yesh Atid slate and served as deputy public security minister in the Bennett-Lapid government, where he took charge of the fight against crime in Israel’s Arab community.
The historic move to include a Jewish representative near the top of the party’s slate was developed through meetings between party chairman Mansour Abbas and Segalovich to offer a political alternative that promotes civic partnership and Arab-Jewish relations.
