Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Kiryat Gat — Israel’s Central Elections Committee has launched an unprecedented printing operation to produce 450 million voting slips for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections, officials announced Monday.
Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg and Acting Director-General Dean Livne toured the Orda printing facility in Kiryat Gat to inspect round-the-clock operations. To serve Israel’s 7.3 million eligible voters across nationwide polling stations, facilities are operating 24 hours a day, six days a week, producing roughly 11.5 million ballot slips for each competing party list.
Logistical coordinators emphasized sustainability alongside operational readiness, confirming that over 400 tons of paper and cardboard will be processed for recycling immediately following the conclusion of the national vote.
