Shin Bet, IDF arrest Hamas internal security head in Gaza

I congratulate the Shin Bet and the IDF, who in a daring operation today apprehended the head of Hamas‘s internal security apparatus near his home in Gaza. He is one of Hamas’s most senior leaders, and was responsible for hiding and transporting our hostages, for hiding senior Hamas officials, and for building up the terrorist organization‘s strength and attempts to restore its capabilities. Recently, he was involved in attempts to restore Hamas’s governance in Gaza, in deception regarding the disarmament of the Strip, and assisted in carrying out terrorist attacks against our forces and our citizens. My directive is clear: the State of Israel will continue to pursue all Hamas leaders and all those who took part in the October 7th massacre.
