Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli military said Thursday it had completed dismantling underground infrastructure spanning more than two kilometers on the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, following recent claims of operational control over the site.

According to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), the tunnel network contained dozens of Iranian-made rockets, missiles, and drones, along with anti-tank missiles, machine guns, and hundreds of mines and explosives. Israeli forces previously identified a command complex belonging to Hezbollah’s “Badr” unit inside the site, built over roughly two decades with Iranian funding.

The military said it would continue operating in Southern Lebanon’s security zone and remains committed to the ceasefire agreement, though Hezbollah has not confirmed losing the position.
