Jerusalem, 14 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces’ 99th Division has completed its mission in northern Gaza after eliminating more than 100 terrorists and neutralizing approximately eight kilometers of underground tunnel routes over the past four months, the military announced on Wednesday.
The division operated as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas’s military infrastructure and remove threats to Israeli forces and communities. During the operation, troops located and destroyed underground passages used by terrorist organizations to facilitate movement and support their activities.
The division’s operations also targeted terrorists encountered by troops in the area.
The IDF said the mission was part of its broader campaign to dismantle terrorist infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip. The military continues to maintain operational readiness and conduct activities to prevent terrorist organizations from rebuilding their capabilities.
