Jerusalem, 9 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the country’s population stood at approximately 10.305 million as of Rosh Hashanah Eve, with Jewish and other residents making up 78.3% and Arab residents 21.7%, alongside roughly 304,000 foreign residents.

The population grew by about 124,000 people over the Past Year, a growth rate of 1.2%, driven by roughly 182,000 births and 50,000 deaths.

Net migration was negative, with the population declining by about 8,000 due to migration. While around 24,000 new immigrants arrived along with 4,000 through family reunification, roughly 57,000 Israelis emigrated abroad, only partially offset by about 21,000 returning citizens.
