Jerusalem, 9 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An Israeli court has ordered two dentists to pay a 58-year-old woman about NIS 131,000 ($43,000) after finding that two teeth were extracted without sufficient medical justification and that parts of her dental rehabilitation were performed negligently.
The woman underwent extensive lower-jaw treatment about a decade ago and claimed she had been wrongly advised to have nine healthy teeth removed and replaced with implants.
Judge Idit Kleiman-Balak of the Bat Yam Magistrate’s Court rejected the woman’s broader claims, ruling that she had exaggerated the malpractice and acknowledged giving informed consent. However, the court found that some implants were negligently positioned and that a poorly fitted porcelain bridge required replacement.
