Defense Ministry Threatening $10 Million Lawsuit Against Drone Maker
Israel's Defense Ministry plans a $10 million lawsuit against drone maker Aerodrome for failing to deliver a $24.5 million UAV order.
Jerusalem, 25 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Defense Ministry is demanding $10.07 million from Aerodrome, a company specializing in collecting, analyzing and processing data using UAVs to generate advanced, AI-powered digital insights, for failing to complete an order worth about $24.5 million to Supply UAVs.
The upcoming legal dispute between the Defense Ministry and publicly traded Aerodrome stems from the major tender the company won in late 2024. The company failed to meet the tender’s requirements despite its commitment to do so. In March 2025, the defense ministry decided to cancel its order and demanded compensation for the damages incurred.
The defense ministry sent Aerodrome a letter saying it is prepared to go to court. However, the ministry left the door ajar for negotiations. According to Aerodrome, the letter said the ministry was willing to hold talks with the company in an effort to avoid the need for a lawsuit.
The IDF has not reported a shortage of operational unmanned aerial vehicles.
